I've chosen to pass an entire year without shopping in supermarkets. Is it possible or fantastical? Pleasurable or a pain in the ass? Is Britain really as beholden to the big box retailers as it seems, or can we still fend for ourselves with indie businesses and markets? Here is a map of the independent businesses & locations where I've bought food so far. Blue markers are food shops, yellow markers are alcohol shops and pink shows restaurants and cafes where good local food is available.
