This documentary, in the form of a Google Map, traces the spread of the SARS-like Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) outbreaks that have been making the news lately. Unlike most of the MERS-CoV maps found online, this map has the actual cities where the outbreaks occurred as indicated in the linked news reports. I did so in order to help resolve all the confusion with the 2003 SARS outbreak because the media is confusing everyone by referring to it as a SARS-like coronaviruse because it is most similar to coronaviruses found in bats. However, according to the Centers for Disease Control, MERS is not SARS. However, it can be spread person-to-person and can be just as deadly.
