The Olympic Torch will arrive in Newcastle at approximately 4.30pm on Friday 15 June and will be carried by 30 inspirational torch bearers on a 7.2m circuit of the city centre. The map outlines the torch route.Great places to watch the relay include Northumberland Street, Old Eldon Square, Civic Centre, Times Square and Grey's Monument.When the flame gets to the Quayside at about 7pm, it will be carried on to the Tyne Bridge. From there, a torchbearer will travel on a zip wire over the Tyne carrying the torch.As the torch relay travels around the city, there will be an open air show provided on the Quayside by each of the partners Coca Cola, Lloyds TSB and Samsung. These celebrations start around 4.30pm at a stage located at St Ann's Quay and finish around 8pm.
