Dearly Departed Toronto CyclistsMemorial map for fallen Toronto Cyclists as of 1986.A memorial oak tree was planted - Summer 2008. Plaque inscription reads: "In memory of all cyclists who died cycling on the streets of Toronto and across Canada." Sunnyside Park, Toronto (Donation: Wendy Lucas)Assistance: Nancy Smith Lea & Advocacy for Respect for Cyclists (ARC).ARC has organized memorial rides for nearly every cyclist killed in traffic since 1996. (Exceptions: Otto Rivera, Robert Jenkins, Jerome Mighty and the July 15, 2010 fatality) A public memorial was also held for Karen Gamble in 1993. Includes information on Ghost Bikes in Toronto.
