The Eagle Ford Shale boom has generated fat paychecks for thousands of workers in South Texas. But the boom has come at a steep cost. Since 2009, at least 14 workers in the oil and gas industry have been fatally crushed, burned or struck by equipment. Most of the incidents are shown in this interactive map, with a link to the investigation conducted by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, a federal agency that oversees workplace safety.
